Happy Halloween

I’ve been stitching away on a set of Joan Elliott’s Halloween ornaments recently and have the ornaments and wreath all finished and hanging up ready for some spooky little visitors tonight!

These were a lot of fun to stitch – the shading and the backstitch make them look like little paintings from a distance, they’re gorgeous although that pirate ghost caused the frog the pay a visit or two! The charts were in issue 181 of Cross Stitch Crazy along with the idea of displaying the finished pieces on a wreath. I am no bow tying expert so paid a visit to YouTube for some help with that – I think it turned out quite well. I glued it all together with Beacon 3 in 1 Glue which a kind blog reader pointed me in the direction of – many thanks for that info Tina.

Oh wow! That is fabulous. They look great all on the wreath together and I love, love, love that bow. Gorgeous colour and shape 😀
